UNA TUCUMANA COMPETIRÁ EN MISS UNIVERSO

Camila Solórzano fue electa Miss Universo Argentina. La modelo de Tafí Viejo representará al país en el certamen internacional. La secundó una salteña.

La tucumana Camila Solórzano fue coronada anoche como Miss Universo Argentina, por lo que representará a nuestro país en el certamen internacional. La modelo de Tafí Viejo fue secundada por la salteña Camila Valdéz y la puntana Antonella Ponso como primera y segunda princesa. La elección se realizó en el hotel Metropolitan, de la Capital Federal.

El jurado estuvo integrado por la modelo Gisela Barreto, el diseñador Roberto Piazza, la ex modelo Anamá Ferreira, el cantante Raúl Lavié, la diseñadora Verónica de Lacanal, el actor Chang Kim Sung (el "chino" de la serie Graduados), Solange Gómez (que integró Gran Hermano 2011) e Ileana Calabró, entre otros.

En diálogo con LA GACETA, Camila recordó que hace poco más de un mes la invitaron a participar y que no estaba segura en aceptar. "Me convencieron y la noche anterior al certamen sólo pude dormir media hora. Igual, ayer dí lo mejor durante los desfiles y las entrevistas que me hicieron periodistas, psicólogos y otras personas. Estoy muy feliz, sobre todo, porque el jurado me dijo que poseo una 'rara belleza' que inclinó la balanza a mi favor".

La modelo representará a la Argentina junto a las 90 finalistas de todo el mundo, que competirán por la corona del más importante certamen de belleza Miss Universo Internacional, que se realizará el próximo 19 de diciembre en Las Vegas, Nevada, Estados Unidos, informó el sitio Missuniversoargentina.com

MISS UNIVERSE ROMANIA 2012 WINNER IS DELIA DUCA

Delia Duca was crowned Miss Universe Romania 2012. The beauty from Brasov is 26 years old and stands 1.80 m. She will represent Romania in the upcoming Miss Universe 2012 beauty pageant, scheduled to take place in Las Vegas this December 19.

Delia Duca is no new to beauty pageants. In 2008, Delia competed at Miss Tourism Queen International 2008, she placed in Top 20 Semi-finalists. In 2010, Delia competed at Miss Globe International 2010, she placed in Top 13 Semi-finalists and she awarded as Miss Sympathy.

NATHALIE DEN DEKKER MISS UNIVERSE NETHERLANDS 2012

After placing among Miss World’s Top 15 semi-finalists earlier this year, Nathalie Den Dekker now gets ready to also compete in Miss Universe, on December 19, in Las Vegas, USA.

Nathalie is a lawyer with a vast experience in beauty pageants: in addition to participating in Miss World 2012, she won the Miss Tourism International 2010 title, in Malaysia, and represented her country in Miss Supranational 2010, in Poland.

HAITI SELECTS IT'S MU'12 REP

Haiti, the most impoverished nation in the Western Hemisphere, had a roller coaster ride in its campaign at Miss Universe. While it was not consistent in sending delegates - a total of 8 since 1962 - the country made its mark in the pageant. For example, in 1962, Miss Haiti Evelyn Miot is the first black contestant to ever land at the Miss Universe semis. Also in 1975 Gerthie David became first runner-up, the highest placement ever for Haiti at the pageant.

Ravaged by natural disasters and political instability, Haiti seemed to abandoned the pageant after 1989. In 2010 it made a comeback with Sarodj Bertin as its delegate. Last year, Anadie Azael represented Haiti. It was for the first time that Haiti participated at Miss Universe for two consecutive years.

The election of its Miss Universe 2012 representative Christela Jacques is a strong signal that Haiti will be a regular at the pageant.
