Asian countries have officially withdrawn and will not participate until the next 6 years at Miss Universe. That means, no Asian host will welcome Paula and Donald and now all that's left for them is to send a big apology to all the Asian countries. That's the worst possible blow and the next one might come from the African and other Latin American countries (like Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Guyana, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica) to seek withdrawls for an indefinite time from the Miss Universe contest. They will however, continue participating at Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Asia Pacific and Miss World.

Bad luck for Paula.

This is official for only Asian countries and not for African or Latin American countries, which are all planning to officially seek either an instantaneous apology from Paula Shughart or they will not participate after Miss Universe 2010.

Withdrawals

India has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2016.

Indonesia has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2017.

Japan has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2011.

Korea has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2015.

Malaysia has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2016.

Philippines has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2014.

Singapore has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2013.

Vietnam has officially withdrawn its participation in the Miss Universe Pageant, leaving the franchise up for grabs in 2014.
