Irlanda World 2011: Perder el MW fue una bendicion

Miss Irlanda Mundo 2011 Holly Carpenter fue una de las favoritas en todo el mundo, aqui traigo una declaracion de ella diciendo que fue una bendicion haber perdido (ingles).

"When I was over there, I learned what it would be like to be Miss World and I realised it's really not for me. If you are Miss World, you basically become a puppet. You have to wear what they say, you have to do your hair and makeup a certain way for the year, you can't give your opinions about certain things, you can't be outspoken or controversial.

"That's not really me because I like to be able to say what I really think, wear what I want to wear. I don't like people telling me what to do. I think it's a blessing in disguise that I didn't win," she said.

"Miss Venezuela, who won, did pageant training for a year before the competition, so she was fully aware of what being Miss World would be like.

"At the end of the day it's a job and I think she is really going to enjoy her year. But I think if I had people telling me what to think, feel and wear for a year I would probably go insane. I couldn't have been told who to be," she said.

Holly (21) also explained that Miss World had a new judging system this year where all the girls were marked using points.

"I only found out half way through the show that the judging had changed. This year, it was a points system, every girl was marked out of 210 for their interview and you could try out for other things like beach beauty, sports, top model and talent."

She added: "But I think the new points system is stupid because certain girls who may not have been as nice or attractive as the other girls got through because they could do a talent or were better at sports."

Holly made the comments ahead of her appearance on the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy tonight.
