Entrevista a DESIREÉ LOWRY dueña de la franquisia del MUPR

Desirée is a former Miss Puerto Rico 1995, fashion model, TV host, radio presenter, event coordinator and model agency owner. She is currently Miss Universe Puerto Rico Pageant’s National Director, teaming up with Luisito Vigoreaux.

- What Inspires you lately?

Music- it gets me in the mood to exercise, helps me visualize the shows we produce such as fashion shows, modeling graduations and Miss Universe Puerto Rico events.

- What is your ideal day?

An early morning jog, beach with the kids, a movie in the afternoon with sushi take out for dinner.

- What is your favorite part of your job?

Making ideas come to life and helping others maximize their potential.

- Top travel destinations:

New York City / Paris / Stowe, Vermont

- What do you see in the future for pageants?

Contestants that are more competitive and better prepared- I think that the internet has made it easier for the candidates to see how past winners and candidates from other countries have prepared for the competition.

- How do you stay in shape?

I jog three to five miles five times a week and do free weights and body weight exercises twice a week.

- What surprises you?

That my kids wake up later than 6:30AM- they never sleep in!

- What has changed in your personality in the last 10 years?

I think I’m more patient and I don’t care what people think as much anymore.

- What did you learn this year?

It’s better to take the high road when it comes to disputes, especially those involving family. In the end they are all that I’ve got!
