“I’m Jade Barry, a model, law graduate, domestic violence advocate and ISPCA ambassador from Cork. I would love to represent Ireland in Miss Universe because I love my country and want to help make Ireland a better place by spreading awareness on topics that Ireland is facing at the moment. Because of my deep love for animals I want to spread awareness about animal cruelty in Ireland and help animals that are being abused by helping to raise funds to get the necessary treatments needed to save these animals. I am a firm believer that what you put into this world, god will reward you, I will continue to strive for a better country and continue to be a positive character that people will look up to.”

‘As a dedicated mother of two and a full-time optometry student, I am driven by a passion for helping people see the world more vividly and clearly. This journey through motherhood and academia has honed my resilience and compassion, enabling me to balance family life and the rigorous demands of my studies.

My fascination with optometry stems from a deep desire to enhance people’s vision and improve their quality of life. This field allows me to make a tangible difference by providing better sight and engaging with a diverse range of individuals, each with unique needs.

I am deeply committed to supporting vision charities and raising awareness about the importance of eye health, actively participating in initiatives to provide essential eye care to underserved communities.

As a Miss Universe contestant, I aim to inspire others to pursue their dreams relentlessly. With determination and a supportive community, we can all achieve our aspirations and make a positive impact on the world’

Hi! I’m Kameryn, I'm 23 years old and I’m excited to be part of Miss Universe Ireland. By day, I work as an HR Officer at Musgrave, and I absolutely love it. My job is all about supporting an incredible team and creating a positive workplace environment, which makes every day rewarding.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me baking or dancing ballet. Baking is one of my favorite hobbies—I enjoy making treats that bring a smile to my friends and family. Ballet is my way of staying active and expressing myself, and it’s been a significant part of my life for many years.
Family means the world to me, especially my adorable niece, Cambel. I also have a love for children, which led me to earn a degree in Primary Teaching. This year, I decided to shift my focus and move into HR, and I’m thrilled about this new direction in my career.

I’m from the countryside of Galway, which has shaped who I am today. It’s a place close to my heart, and I’m grateful for the support and experiences it has given me.

Thank you so much for supporting me on this journey. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and am excited for this incredible opportunity!

“With a background in law and now working full time in youth diversion in Dublin, Tatenda is an advocate by nature who posses a track record of using her voice, and writing abilities, to raise awareness about crucial issues. From her involvement in university associations, to volunteering at food banks, and writing heavy hitting articles about child marriage, she utilises every resource she can to platform voices that often go unheard.

Raised in Ireland, she is touched by the prevalence of sexual violence and domestic abuse in the country and has already been outspoken about its impact women and children. She remains invested in the cause with her work as PR Officer with Mind The Gap Ireland, and intends to use Miss Universe to continue her advocacy. With Miss Universe, she will be able to use the platform to reach more survivors and helpers, and challenge useful parties and organisations to go deeper in their fight against abuse. She hopes to inspire reform and contribute to the conversation about the stigma against victims, so that their stories become calls for change, not just a historical gallery of suffering.

She supports Mind The Gap Ireland and Empower The Voice Dublin during this campaign:

"Hi everyone! My name is Faiza Kanjaoui and I’m from Kilkenny. I would describe myself as someone driven by ambition and an commitment to my aspirations. This lead me to become a first generation college graduate and the first doctor in my family.

Growing up in a low-income immigrant family, college felt like an unattainable dream. A harsh reality surrounding third level education is that it requires significant funds, which my family did not have. However, my parents never failed to remind me to not let my circumstances define me. Despite the odds, I was accepted into Trinity College with a scholarship, landing a spot in Dentistry, one of Ireland’s most competitive courses.

My journey wasn't just about personal success; it was about giving back. From volunteering with people with disabilities in Kilkenny to providing dental care to disadvantaged patients in Vietnam, I've used my skills to uplift others. In my day-to-day life, I care for patients with challenging backgrounds, from those with dental fear to those who have had traumatic experiences such as oral tumours and cancer. It brings me so much joy and satisfaction to know that I made a difference in these people’s lives, no matter how small.

Now, on the brink of fulfilling my dream as an oral reconstructive surgeon, I want to inspire young people to see the boundless potential that lies within them. I had to overcome so many obstacles along the way, battling countless times with mental health struggles and racial discrimination. Yet I used these challenges to fuel my journey to self-acceptance and success. As I step into the next chapter of my life, I am committed to using the platform provided by Miss Universe Ireland to uplifting and empowering others to pursue their dreams with unwavering courage and determination"

“ Hi, my name is Chloe Feeney. I am 22 years old from Belfast. Currently, I am pursuing my studies at Queen's University. Alongside my academic endeavours, I am an actress represented by Wolf Talent, and I work as a promotional model with ACA Models.

Fitness is a significant part of my life; I am a dedicated gym enthusiast who thrives on staying active and healthy. I am eager to utilise this platform to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention, a cause very close to my heart. The devastating impact of suicide became a harsh reality for me when I lost both my best friend and my uncle to it. Their absence has deeply affected me, fuelling my passion to shine a light on mental health issues and the importance of supporting those who struggle.

My personality is outgoing and adventurous, and I take great joy in meeting new people and immersing myself in diverse cultures. These experiences not only enrich my life but also enhance my perspective, allowing me to connect more profoundly with others. Through this platform, I hope to advocate for mental health awareness, promote the importance of seeking help, and contribute to a supportive community that can make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by suicide.”

My name is Caoimhe Kenny, I’m a 23-year-old from Co. Donegal. I work full-time in the beauty buying industry and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a female-dominated field, where I am continually inspired by like-minded, powerful women.

Creativity is at the core of who I am, and I am deeply passionate about working with young people. Empowering them to harness their creativity to transform junk into recycled fashion.

Outside of work, I enjoy dancing and I am trained in ballet, tap, modern, and acrobatics. Over the past two years, I have developed a love for aerial hoop and silks, which has added a new dimension to my passion for movement and performance.

I feel passionate about addressing various social and economic issues and hold immense admiration for both past and present Miss Universe Ireland titleholders. These remarkable women have harnessed their unique platform to help people and drive meaningful change.

"Hey! I’m Ellen Smith, 28 years old from Belfast.

Working as a sales/account manager at a company called Eurotas, socialising with people and making them feel heard it key. Luckily, I love getting to know new people so it’s ideal!
I’m thrilled to be taking part in MUI. It goes without saying winning would be a dream but being selected to represent what I believe in; beauty is only skin deep is the real win. From a young age I’ve suffered from an eating disorder, hating the body I stood in. Obsessing over my outward appearance consumed my every thought, which ended up in my losing a lot of my personality; the real thing that makes us beautiful. It’s taken years to be in a place where I am now; back to my life loving self, and that’s what I’m doing this for. Any young girls out there struggling/ scared to admit their own thoughts, trust me you’re not alone, and it will get better!
The gym has been a life save for me in the battle of a ED. I try to attend at least 4 times a week. Training has led to me completing in Hyrox Paris 2024 and taking part in the half marathon this September. The marathon proceeds will go to my local girl’s brigade which I volunteer in every Monday night, taking young girls in of the streets and teaching them about God.
I believe everyone is beautiful, but beauty is more than the perfect smile, figure or hair, it’s how you make others feel, it’s the unknown acts of kindness you complete, but mostly it’s how you talk to yourself. Remember when you look in the mirror, you’re taking to the younger version of yourself, keep them safe."

Hello everyone, my name is Patricia and I’m a recent graduate of MA Applied Linguistics from Cork.
My MA thesis focused on giving a voice to former child migrants who grew up in Ireland with a first language other than English or Irish. Its aim was to use their experience to improve language maintenance support for future children growing up in the country. I am happy to say I will be presenting my research in the upcoming IRAAL 2024 conference, which is also currently under editing to be published academically.

My second passion is sustainable fashion. While artistic expression through clothing is very important to me, I don’t believe that it should have a negative impact on either human and animal rights, or the environment. This has also influenced my career where I have become Sustainability Ambassador for my contribution to our ongoing project working on making Keanes Jewellers carbon neutral.

My two hobbies include pole dancing and volunteering. Pole dancing is the most empowering thing I have done so far, both physically and emotionally. When it comes to volunteering, it has been a hobby of mine since I was a teenager but I am currently a proud member of Cork Community Volunteers. In my free time, I also enjoy making content on sustainable fashion, volunteering and travel.

I am someone who aspires to make a positive impact, not just through my actions alone, but by helping and encouraging others to do good too.

I will be supporting Cork Volunteer Centre | @volunteercork | @volunteerireland
