Winner: New Zealand Face of Oceania

It’s funny that most beauty pageants do not have a “facial beauty” exclusive category for scoring and judging, after all, when it comes to beauty, what is more important than a stunning face? During her year of reign, you barely see Miss Universe wearing a bikini or parading around in an elegant evening gown. However, her face is everywhere, from tv shows to the cover of magazines, fashion editorials, etc.

For this special award, a GB tradition since 2000, we’ve asked our judges to judge the 89 beautiful faces after watching their interview videos, after all, photos could be deceiving. It was a fierce battle between New Zealand and Venezuela, and after a tie, they’ve decided for Miss New Zealand. New Zealand is GB’s Face of the Universe 2012.

Equaly stunning Venezuela is 2nd, and gorgeous Miss Chile is 3rd. Mexico and Croatia rounded out the Top 5.

Top 20: Netherlands, Bolivia, Paraguay, Malaysia, Vietnam, Namibia, Australia, Finland, Italy, St. Lucia.
