Talent Competition FInalists Announced

This morning the judges of the Talent Competition recalled several of the contestants to make another assessment of their talent and potential. This was followed by the official announcement of the top 10 Talent Competition entries, who will go on to recieve professional training and the chance to shine on the centre stage at the final.

Those who were asked to perform again were the singers, Canada, England, Mongolia, New Zealand, and Wales. The singers were given another chance to shine because of the poor acoustics in the previous audition hall, and the judges felt they needed the right conditions to prove themselves.

Croatia was given the chance to show off his street workout skills for the second time, Netherlands was given the chance to show his piano prowess, and Russia presented his video production skills with his specially produced Mr World short film.

China, who arrived to the competition after the initial talent auditions had taken place, due to travel complications, was also present, performing a well choreographed dance routine.

After this last chance to impress, the top 10 announcement was made...

MR. WORLD 2013 - RECAP

There are only 5 days left until Mr World reaches its climax with the Grand Final! The contestants have been through a lot already, so we thought it would be a good idea to recap on some of the best bits so far, including all of the challenges that they have faced and adventures they have had.

Extreme Sports Challenge

The Contestants have taken on the Army Assault Courses. The top 15 went on to face the main event, the 2km watercourse. the top 15 were..

Blue Team - Colombia, Croatia, Latvia, Netherlands, Philippines

Green Team - Mexico, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico

Red Team - Belgium, China PR, Costa Rica, Macau China, Turkey

Current Status: Finished, awaiting final results to be revealed.

The Talent Competition

The talent competition is has held its audition and recall stages, with many contestants entering this year. The top 10 contestants have been selected and will be receiving professional training before performing at the final in front of a live audience.

Talent Top 10: Bolivia, Canada, China PR, Czech Republic, England, Mongolia, Netherlands, Venezuela, Vietnam, Wales

Current Status: Top 10 announced, final performances on the 24th November

The Multimedia Challenge

The contestants have had their Multimedia Challenge day, enthusiastically exploring the town of Canterbury, creating the news, and engaging with both the public and their online audiences. All of their hardwork is there to see on their Facebook pages now!

Current Status: Finished, awaiting judges examiniation and announcement of the results.

The Sports Challenge

The sports challenge has had its fitness test, golf event, swimming time trials and football target practice rounds so far. With only the top 10 participating in the later two rounds, its a close run thing, with only one event left - Sprint time trials.

Top 10: Colombia, Croatia, Honduras, Ireland, Japan, Martinique, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Wales.

Status: One event to go, winner will be announced at the final.

It's not just the challenges that have been keeping the contestants busy though. With a full schedule, they have taken in a lot of culture and excitement from across the country, from ghost hunting, to birthday celebrating, to witnessing a blockbuster West End stage show!

There is still plenty to look forward to in the run up to the final though, with the final sports round, the top 10 talent entries recieving their mentoring, the Fashion & Style Challenge beginning to take shape, and a few special surprises still in store.

So with all this to come and more, the contestants need to keep their focus, and continue battling hard to win the Mr World Title. It is sure to be an exciting time for all the contestants and all their fans!
