Miss Universe national directors have received an e-mail from the MUO confirming that the 2016 edition of the pageant will take place in the Philippines, in January of 2017. Candidates must arrive in Manila on January 13th. The final event will happen on January 30th (in Manila), which will still be the 29th in the USA (in the Philippines people will watch it eating breakfast).

Miss Universe national directors have received an e-mail from the MUO confirming that the 2016 edition of the pageant will take place in the Philippines, in January of 2017. Candidates must arrive in Manila on January 13th. The final event will happen on January 30th (in Manila), which will still be the 29th in the USA (in the Philippines people will watch it eating breakfast).

It´s the 3rd time the Philippines, a country passionate about beauty contests, will host the competition. The first was in 1974 (photo), and the second in 1994. Pia Wurtzbach, the current Miss Universe from the Philippines, will crown her successor at home.

The candidates are supposed to visit some important tourist attraction in this beautiful southeast Asian country. See a bit of what Philippines can offer to its visitors:

Bueno tal como poniendolos no creo... hoy en dia los diseñadores en Venezuela solo hacen caridad con el MV.

A lo mejor es cierro, pero con el MV amigo, pero te recuerdo que Mariam aparte de ser millonaria de cuna, tiene por Manager de Javier Rodríguez, con muchos $$$ también, fue el manager de la Nemer y la Galante. Así que no creas que la Habach irá vestida por caridad de diseñadores.

Ya era hora!!! Sólo espero que no coronen a la filipina, eso terminaría con la poca reputación que aún le queda al MU. 

Y no creo que hayan 101 candidatas. Hasta al momento sólo han elegido 75, veo muy difícil que en menos de dos meses elijan a casi 30 más, aunque sí se podría llegar por primera vez a las 90.
